Hi, thank you for taking the time to visit our website, my name is Doris Lainez and I am the Founder of Sirenitas Restaurant. I am originally from Honduras, and like many compatriots, I came to this country to achieve "The American Dream", to look for a better quality of life for me and my family.

I remember that I had the opportunity in Honduras to work with one of my aunts in a restaurant business, I literally became her maximum person of trust, and since then, I realized that it was mine, because I enjoyed it!, to be In the kitchen learning to prepare, cutting vegetables, I even gradually learned to cook and I was creating my own recipes, at the same time I was enjoying serving people with excellence, and it was like discovering my passion.

A Few years later, at the end of the 90's, I had the opportunity to come to the United States and follow my dreams, I started looking for a job in the hospitality industry, I worked around 10 years trying to understand the culture and philosophy about the restaurant industry. Until one day, I took a determination with courage and with many sacrifices and efforts, decided to change my role from employee to entrepreneur, it was not easy to make that hard decision, open my own restaurant.

Finally in December 2017 I was able to open the doors of Sirenitas Restaurant in the city of Long Beach CA, along with the help of my daughter Nixsy and my sister Nery, who have been tremendous support to this business, both have had a great commitment to be working with me from the first day, without them this business was not what it is to this day, they have contributed to the success of this business.

I feel happy because my daughter Nixsy enjoys how I do this every day, I can feel convinced that She will follow this business to other generations of our family, as for my Sister Nery, one of her dreams is to open her own restaurant, and I will feel grateful and privileged that She can achieve that goal in life, just as I could achieve it!

Why Orchids?
I am a person who loves to be greeting and interacting with my clients, I would like to sit down to talk every day with all of you, but this is impossible, for that reason I decided to leave a small orchid on each table of my restaurant,  when you see them, just  remember the love and gratitude that I have for each one of you !!!
